Pramod Bhasin

Pramod Bhasin is an Indian businessman who founded Genpact and served as its President and CEO. In 2011 he became Genpact’s non-executive Vice Chairman.

Born in Simdega, India, he studied BCom at Shri Ram College of Commerce and earned an MBA from the University of Delhi’s Faculty of Management Studies. He attended Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and, as of 2016, lives in New Delhi.

He spent about 25 years with General Electric (GE), leading GE Capital in India and Asia. In 1997 he started GE Capital International Services (GECIS) in Gurgaon, the in-house BPO that helped launch Genpact. GE hired Raman Roy to grow the BPO business, expanding it to many countries worldwide.

Genpact received recognition, including being named Global Shared Services Leader of the Year in 2007 and awarding Bhasin a Lifetime Contribution Award. He has served as Chairman of NASSCOM (2009–10) and has been involved with NASSCOM Foundation and TiE Delhi-NCR (as President). He was appointed chairman of ICRIER.
