Potentilla cottamii, also known as Cottam's cinquefoil or Pilot Range cinquefoil, is a rare flowering plant in the rose family. It lives in Nevada and Utah, specifically in the Pilot Range of Elko County, Nevada, with a small nearby area in Utah. Described in 1987, this perennial herb grows as a mat of leaves around a central caudex. Each leaf has three toothed leaflets. The flowers usually have five yellow petals (sometimes four) and are 3–4 millimeters long, with 15 yellow stamens at the center. It grows in cracks and crevices on rock walls and cliffs. Conservation status: Critically Imperiled.
