Poecilocharax rhizophilus is a small freshwater fish from Brazil. Described in 2022 by Ohara, Pastana and Camelier, it was found in the Apuí region alongside its relative Poecilocharax callipterus. The fish grows to about 2 centimeters long and has an amber yellow‑brown body. In males, the dorsal and anal fins show dark streaks. Binomial name: Poecilocharax rhizophilus.
