Podvinje, Brežice
Podvinje is a small village in eastern Slovenia, just north of Dobova, in the Municipality of Brežice near the Croatian border. It covers about 1.66 square kilometers and sits roughly 203 meters above sea level. In 2020, 113 people lived there.
The area is traditionally part of Styria, but today it lies in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The Jovsi wetland lies to the east of Podvinje.
The village has a church dedicated to the Holy Trinity, belonging to the Parish of Kapele. It is a simple, single-nave building with a three-sided sanctuary. The church was built in the 17th century, vaulted in the 18th century, and the bell tower was added in 1776.
