Plesiops auritus is a small marine fish in the Plesiopidae family. It grows up to 7.6 cm long. It lives in coral reefs in shallow water, usually less than 15 meters deep. Its range is the Indo-Pacific, from Sri Lanka to the west coast of the Malaysian Peninsula near Phuket, and south along the western coast of Sumatra up to north of Java. The male guards the eggs.
