Kelime (film)
Kelime is a 2015 short film directed by Federico Mudoni. In 2016, it won the Rai Cinema Channel Award at the 17th European Film Festival in Lecce. The story follows a dormant terrorist cell in Italy waiting for an order to act, and shows how years in Italy leave their mark on those who might carry out drastic actions. The film is produced by Springo Studio in co-production with the Da Vinci Scientific High School of Maglie and is set between Salento and Istanbul. It has no dialogue, a concept reflected in the title Kelime, the Turkish word for “Word.” The idea came from the question: what word heard on a phone could trigger extreme action and change lives forever? The original soundtrack, Kelime Theme, was written by Giacomo Sances with vocals by Serenella Colazzo. The film has been selected for several film festivals.
