Phoenix American is a private financial services and technology company based in Larkspur, California. It was founded in 1972 by Gus Constantin, who remains its president, chairman, and CEO. The company began as the sponsor of Phoenix Leasing, a group of partnerships that financed the leasing of business equipment.

Today, Phoenix American operates through several subsidiaries serving different parts of the financial industry:
- Phoenix American Financial Services (PAFS): fund administration, transfer-agent services, investor relations, and fund accounting for private equity, venture capital, and asset-backed securitizations in aviation.
- Phoenix American SalesFocus Solutions (SFS): customer relationship management (CRM), sales reporting, data analytics, and 22c-2 compliance for mutual funds and other asset managers; developers of the MARS reporting platform.
- Phoenix Leasing Portfolio Services (PLPS): commercial lease portfolio management for banks and other lenders.
- Phoenix Cable, Inc.: cable television services, including to the U.S. Navy.
There is also PAFS Ireland, Ltd., the Ireland-based arm related to the aviation ABS group.

Phoenix American has a long history in the market. It was publicly traded from 1982 to 1990. By 2023, PAFS was SEC-registered as a transfer agent and provider of fund administration for alternative investment companies, and its aviation ABS group offered managing agent services and fund accounting for aircraft securitizations.

In August 2024, Vistra acquired the fund administration and transfer-agent assets of PAFS. After that, Phoenix American is described as the parent of three subsidiaries: Phoenix American Financial Services, Phoenix American SalesFocus Solutions, and Phoenix Cable, Inc.
