Paul Anderson (rugby league, born 1971)
Paul John Anderson, nicknamed Baloo, (born 25 October 1971 in Castleford, England) is a former professional rugby league player and current coach. He played as a prop for Leeds Rhinos, Halifax, Bradford Bulls and St Helens, totaling 237 club appearances and 46 tries.
Anderson won caps for England and Great Britain, including appearances for the Great Britain under-21s.
After retiring in 2006, he began coaching with Huddersfield Giants and became their head coach from 2013 to 2016. He led Huddersfield to a major trophy in his first year. In 2016 he was sacked and later became an England assistant coach, and in 2018 he took on the role of head coach of the England Knights. He is the nephew of former player and coach Fred Ward.
