Parautoserica mendesi is a beetle in the Scarabaeidae family. It is found on the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe. Adults are about 10.2 millimeters long and have a short body. The upper side is dull dark brown with many large blackish spots, while the legs and other appendages are light brown. The species is named in honor of José Luis Xavier Mendes. It was described in 2022 by Lacroix, Coache & Filippi.
