Papiliotrema laurentii

Papiliotrema laurentii is a fungus in the Rhynchogastremaceae family. It mostly exists as yeast. In people with weakened immune systems, it can rarely cause illness, such as skin infections or bloodstream infections. It can also be used as the sole food source to grow the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. This species has several other names, including Cryptococcus laurentii and Torula laurentii.
