Paoskoto is a village and rural commune in Paoskoto Arrondissement, Nioro du Rip Department, Kaffrine Region, Senegal, near the border with The Gambia. It sits at about 13.783°N, 15.817°W.

The rural commune has about 43,460 people in 4,061 households, while the village itself has about 2,411 people in 225 households. The main communities are Wolof and Fulani. Nearby localities include Keur Oumar Tounkara, Dafar, Keur Gaye Hamdalaye, Mbiteyene, Tayyiba Niassène, Keur Bidja Uri Keur Ali Gueye, Nioro du Rip and Diamaguene. The area uses Greenwich Mean Time (UTC+0).

Historically, Paoskoto is known for the Battle of Paoskoto on 30 November 1865, where Maba Diakhou Bâ’s forces defeated the French led by Émile Pinet-Laprade; the French retreated to Djoloff. The battle is still remembered in Senegal today.
