Bury Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL). It plays its home games at Bury Sports and Social Club on Radcliffe Road, Bury. The club’s colors are navy and red with gold piping. It was founded in 1845.

As of 2023, the 1st XI captain is Dominic Morris. The club began in the Townside area, then moved to Foundry Street and Buckley Wells before finally settling at Radcliffe Road in 1919, after land was donated by Samuel Roberts. The ground is shared with Bury Rugby Club and is also used by a squash section and Bury Chess Club.

Radcliffe Road has a long cricket history, including a late-1800s match against touring Parsees and two Lancashire 2nd XI games (1908 and 1953). Since the 1930s, the club has run an annual North Wales tour. In 1996 the club turned professional and has employed first-class players from around the world in recent years. In 2013 the club won the NatWest Bank Cricket Force Outstanding Service to Cricket Award for work on the ground and pavilion.

COVID-19 delayed the club’s planned 175th anniversary in 2020, and in 2021 they released a short film, 175 Anniversary Story, about the club’s history and people who contributed to it.

League history and changes: Bury CC was a founder member of the Central Lancashire Cricket League (CLL) in 1892 and also played in the Lancashire League in 1893 and 1894. They were long-time members of the Manchester and District Cricket Association (MDCA), with the 2nd XI winning the JC Worthington Trophy in 2004. The 1st XI won the MDCA league in 2012.

In 2013, Bury left the MDCA and joined the Bolton & District Cricket Association (BDCA). The under-13s won the BDCA Cup in 2013, and in 2014 the 1st XI won the BDCA Cross Cup. The club also received re-accreditation as a Sport England ClubMark in 2014.

On 25 May 2015 the club announced it would resign from the BDCA and join the GMCL in 2016. The 3rd XI also moved to the GMCL. In 2017 the 1st XI reached the Derek Kay Cup final. In 2019 the 3rd XI won the GMCL Sunday Premier Cup, their first GMCL silverware. In 2021 the 2nd XI became Division 4S&W champions and earned promotion to Division 3 for 2022.

Bury CC has a strong focus on junior cricket and has earned Sport England ClubMark and the Bury Metropolitan Borough Council Community Club of the Year award (2005) for its work with young players.
