Osashima Station is a small, unstaffed railway stop in the village of Otoineppu, Hokkaido, Japan. It lies on JR Hokkaido’s Sōya Main Line, 135.6 km from Asahikawa. The station has one side platform serving a single above-ground track; the platform is on the southwest side (left when facing Wakkanai). It opened in 1922 and became JR Hokkaido in 1987 after the JNR privatization. It used to have two platforms and two tracks but now uses only one. After the station building became unstaffed, a modified Yo3500 series caboose was placed on the old building’s foundations. The station code is W62. It is very lightly used, averaging fewer than one passenger per day in 2011–2015. JR Hokkaido considered closing it in 2017 but kept it open for now; in 2023 it was selected as one of 42 stations for possible abolition due to low ridership.
