Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) are Oregon’s codified laws. They include statutes passed by the Oregon Legislative Assembly and, at times, laws approved by citizens through initiatives. The ORS is subordinate to the Oregon Constitution.

Who handles the ORS
- The Office of the Legislative Counsel prepares and publishes the ORS.
- The ORS is issued every two years as a softcover, multi-volume set after each legislative session.

Brief history
- The ORS were created when the legislature recodified the previous code, the Oregon Compiled Laws Annotated (1940).
- The first ORS edition was published in 1953.
- From 1955 to 1987, replacement parts were published in odd-numbered years.
- Early editions were printed on yellow paper and kept in large loose-leaf binders.
- The first softcover edition appeared in 1989.
- By 2009, the edition required 21 volumes.

Older codes that preceded the ORS
- Oregon used several older codifications, including Deady’s General Laws of Oregon (1845–1864) and other compilations dating from the mid-1800s to 1940, such as Hill’s Annotated Laws of Oregon, Bellinger and Cotton’s Annotated Codes, Lord’s Oregon Laws, Olson’s Oregon Laws, Oregon Laws, Oregon Code Annotated, and Oregon Compiled Laws Annotated.
