Oniro mou
Oniro mou, meaning “My dream,” is a Greek song by Yianna Terzi. It was released as a CD single and digital download on 15 February 2018. The track, written by Terzi with Aris Kalimeris, Dimitris Stamatiou and Mihalis Papathanasiou, blends pop, ethno-pop and folk and lasts 3:04. It was released by Panik Records.
The song represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Terzi was part of the Ellinikos Telikos 2018 selection process, starting 27 October 2017, and moved on to the televised final on 8 November. After two other acts were disqualified for not having a Greek sound, Oniro mou reached the top three. On 15 February 2018, it was reported that the other two competing artists’ labels refused to pay a €20,000 fee to the Greek broadcaster ERT, leaving Oniro mou as the Greek entry.
Oniro mou competed in the first Eurovision semi-final in Lisbon on 8 May 2018 but did not qualify for the final, finishing 14th with 81 points.
The music video, directed by Sherif Francis, premiered on 8 March 2018 on the show Eurovision 2018 – On the Way to Lisbon!, hosted by the disqualified Duo Fina. Terzi and the song’s writers discussed the entry, and she received wishes from former Greek Eurovision contestants.
