1954–55 Minneapolis Lakers season
1954–55 Minneapolis Lakers season
Head coach: John Kundla
Home arena: Minneapolis Auditorium
The Lakers finished the season with a 40–32 record (.556), placing 2nd in the Western Division. They reached the division finals but were defeated by the Detroit Pistons, 3–1.
Early that season, Minneapolis played four games against the Baltimore Bullets before the Bullets folded on November 27, 1954. Those games were later wiped from the official record. The Bullets won the first game, 93–92, on November 3 in Baltimore; the Lakers won the other three meetings (November 11 and 12 at neutral sites and November 21 in Minneapolis). If those games had counted, the Lakers’ record would have been 43–33.
