Olmedilla Photovoltaic Park is a 60 MW solar farm in Olmedilla de Alarcón, Spain. It uses about 270,000 crystalline silicon solar panels and was commissioned in July 2008, becoming the world’s largest PV power plant at the time. The plant generates roughly 87.5 GWh each year, enough to power about 40,000 homes. It cost around €384 million (about US$530 million). In 2026, a grid storage battery was added with about 30 MW of power and 60 MWh of capacity to help balance the grid.
