Barbara Cameron (bowls)
Barbara Mary Cameron BEM (born 16 April 1962) is a Northern Irish international lawn bowler and coach. Born in Coalisland, she plays for Ballymena Bowling Club. Her achievements include: 1993 Atlantic Bowls Championships gold in pairs with Phillis Nolan (the inaugural event), 1995 Atlantic Championships bronze in pairs in Durban, and a bronze medal for Northern Ireland in the 2014 Commonwealth Games (women’s pairs) in Glasgow. She won the Irish National Bowls Championships singles title in 2001 and triples in 2022, both for Ballymena BC, and the 2016 Provincial Towns Women's Bowling Association Championships fours. She was a coach for the Northern Ireland team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. Cameron was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to lawn bowls in Northern Ireland.
