Jeanne L. Phillips
Jeanne Linden Phillips (born 1954 in Arkansas) is an American businesswoman and former diplomat. A Republican, she served as the United States Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris from August 7, 2001, to June 2, 2003, under President George W. Bush. She followed Amy L. Bondurant and was succeeded by Connie Morella. Phillips graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1976.
She has led and advised in business and politics, including as President and CEO of Jeanne Johnson & Company, Inc., and as Managing Director of Public Strategies, Inc. in Dallas. She has worked as a fundraising advisor to organizations such as the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and SMU. During Bush’s first presidential campaign, she was Senior Advisor for National Finance and later Deputy Chairman for Operations at the Republican National Committee. In 2001 she was Executive Director of the 54th Presidential Inaugural Committee, and in 2005 she chaired the 55th Presidential Inaugural Committee for Bush’s reelection.
She is currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and International Relations at Hunt Consolidated (including Hunt Refining Company and Hunt Oil Company). She is a member of the American Petroleum Institute and serves on the boards of the John Goodwin Tower Center for Political Studies at SMU, the Baylor Health Care System Foundation, the Hockaday School, the American Hospital of Paris Foundation, and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Phillips lives in Dallas, Texas, and attends St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
