Welcome Back, Carter is the third episode of Family Guy’s ninth season. It first aired on Fox on October 10, 2010.
Plot in simple terms:
Peter discovers his father-in-law Carter Pewterschmidt is having an affair. He uses this information to blackmail Carter, enjoying the perks of Carter’s huge wealth. Barbara, Carter’s wife, eventually finds out and divorces him. Peter then becomes Carter’s wingman and helps him try to restart his love life.
Carter tries dating again, while Barbara starts dating Roginald, the man she knew during the war. Carter confesses his love for Barbara and apologizes. Barbara forgives him, lets him move back in, and the couple shares a kiss. Meanwhile, Peter’s plan to boost Carter’s social life includes some chaotic moments, like taking a high-definition TV and one risky “limousine joust” scene.
