Octreotate
Octreotate, also known as octreotide acid, is a somatostatin analogue, meaning it mimics the action of the natural hormone somatostatin. It is closely related to octreotide. Its amino acid sequence is H-D-Phe-Cys-Phe-D-Trp-Lys-Thr-Cys-Thr-OH. Octreotide differs at the end, where the terminal threonine is converted to an amino alcohol. Its chemical formula is C49H64N10O11S2, and its molar mass is 1033.23 g/mol.
