Nucleosome assembly protein 1 like 5
NAP1L5 (nucleosome assembly protein 1 like 5) is a human gene that encodes a protein related to nucleosome assembly factors. The protein may be located in the cytoplasm rather than the nucleus. Expression of NAP1L5 is reduced in hepatocellular carcinoma. The gene lies in a differentially methylated region and is imprinted, with paternal expression. A related pseudogene exists on chromosome 4.
