DELTACO is a Swedish computer hardware company started in Ludvika in 1991. It began as Swedeltaco AB and Dist IT, mainly importing cables from Taiwan to resell. Over time it started making and selling its own products in different lines, and by 2011 its own products accounted for about 40% of revenue. The company expanded to the Nordic countries in 2007 under the DELTACO name, and in 2017 it launched its own Deltaco Gaming line of peripherals. Deltaco has argued against paying high prices for cables, saying that for digital signals the result is binary: either the signal arrives or it doesn't, so expensive cables for audiophiles or video enthusiasts aren’t necessary.
