Normando Miguel Álvarez García (born 13 September 1952) is an Argentine politician and lawyer. He was the Argentine ambassador to Bolivia from 11 January 2016 to 10 December 2019, during President Mauricio Macri’s government. Since 10 December 2019, he has served as the Minister of Labor of the Jujuy Province under Governor Gerardo Morales. He is a member of the Radical Civic Union.

Born in San Salvador de Jujuy, he studied law at the National University of Lomas de Zamora, graduating in 2003. His political career began as a city councilor in San Salvador de Jujuy (1985–1989), then a member of the provincial legislature (1989–1991), and he was a national deputy for Jujuy until 1999. After leaving Congress, he worked as a lawyer, a political adviser, and in private business until Mauricio Macri became president in 2015. He was then appointed ambassador to Bolivia.

During his time as ambassador, Bolivia faced a political crisis in 2019 when Evo Morales resigned. The Argentine government recognized Jeanine Áñez as president and did not label the event a coup. In July 2021, Bolivia’s government said a Bolivian Air Force commander thanked Álvarez García for Argentine involvement by sending shotguns and tear gas during the crisis. On 17 July 2021, Álvarez García was formally accused in Argentina in connection with the Bolivian coup case. On 15 July 2021, Governor Morales publicly defended him and awarded him the Order of Juan Manuel Belgrano, saying the provincial government would not accept the allegations.
