The Nomads Motorcycle Club (Australia) is an outlaw motorcycle group with many chapters across the country. It was founded in Newcastle in 1968.

Patch and colors
The Nomads’ patch shows a skull wearing a helmet with wings, with pistons behind it and small wings beside the “NOMADS” text. The club colors are black and white. The Nomads have chapters in all Australian states and territories, and there are no Nomads chapters in other countries.

Key people
John Thomas Browne, known as Metho Tom, was a founder and the first national president. He ran Harley Davidson of Blacktown and died in 2008. His funeral was a large gathering of bikers from several clubs.

Scott Orrock became national president in the early 2000s. He left the Nomads in 2009 to join the Hells Angels, which fueled further violence between the two groups.

Notable incidents
- 2004: A fight at the Newcastle clubhouse during a meeting; two members were shot, and items were taken.
- 2005: A ram raid on Metho Tom’s Harley-Davidson dealership during a dispute with the Rebels MC.
- 2006–2009: Several legal cases involving Nomads leaders; some members were arrested, and informers provided details on the 2004 attack.
- 2007: The Skin Deep Tattoo shop in Newtown (owned by Orrock) was shot at.
- 2009: A gun attack on the Nomads’ Marrickville clubhouse left several members injured; Orrock’s car was later torched after he joined the Hells Angels.
- 2015: Police raids on the Wetherill Park clubhouse led to multiple arrests and the temporary closure of the Sydney site; more raids across New South Wales and Adelaide followed, with charges including kidnapping, blackmail, assault and soliciting to murder.

Publications and media
There are several books and magazines that mention the Nomads and key members, and there is also an unreleased film about their 1998 30th anniversary ride.

Today the Nomads remain an active outlaw motorcycle club in Australia.
