Nita Landry
Dr. Nita Landry is an American obstetrician-gynecologist, author, and TV commentator. Born Chenita Marie Landry in Alexandria, Louisiana, she studied biology at Dillard University and earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama, followed by an OB/GYN residency at the University of Louisville. She became a board-certified OB/GYN and chose to work as a traveling doctor, delivering babies and performing gynecologic surgeries across the United States while helping women from many backgrounds.
From 2016 to 2020, she co-hosted the daily talk show The Doctors, later returning as a recurring co-host. She has appeared as a medical expert on programs such as Dr. Phil, Today, and Good Morning America, and has contributed to magazines like Cosmopolitan and HuffPost. Landry is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and wrote Dr. Nita's Crash Course for Women: Better Sex, Better Health, Better You.
She is a active public speaker on women's health, educating teens and young adults at events like Brain Food, the 2019 Women's Health Expo, and UCLA's LadyLike Day. She also served as an ambassador for National Women's Health Week.
