Astaena valida
Astaena valida is a beetle in the Scarabaeidae family. It is found in Colombia. Adults are about 11–12 mm long. The back is very shiny and ranges in color from reddish-brown to blackish-brown. The pronotum (the shield behind the head) has coarse pits. The scientific name is Astaena valida Burmeister, 1855, and it belongs to the genus Astaena.
