Nina Puikkonen

Nina Puikkonen Mortensen (born August 3, 1979) is a former American indoor volleyball player from Murray, Utah. She played as a middle blocker, standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 172 pounds. She played college volleyball at Brigham Young University, where she earned All-American honors three times. She was a member of the United States women’s national team and competed in the 2002 FIVB World Grand Prix. After college, she played for the Chicago Thunder and Tarmo-Volley. In 2013, she served as an assistant coach at Utah Valley State College.
