Nick Carter
Nick Carter (Nickolas Gene Carter) is an American singer and the lead vocalist of the Backstreet Boys. He was born on January 28, 1980, in Jamestown, New York, and grew up in Florida. He started performing as a child and joined the Backstreet Boys in 1993, becoming the group's youngest member and helping them become one of the world’s biggest boy bands.
Carter has released four solo albums: Now or Never (2002), I’m Taking Off (2011), All American (2015), and Love Life Tragedy (2025). He also teamed up with Jordan Knight to form Nick & Knight, releasing a self-titled album in 2014 and touring together.
In addition to music, Carter has appeared on several TV shows and reality programs. He starred in House of Carters and I Heart Nick Carter, competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2015 (finishing second), and later served as a judge on Boy Band in 2017. He also competed on The Masked Singer in 2020, finishing in third place.
Carter is married to Lauren Kitt since 2014, and they have three children: Odin (2016), Saorise (2019), and Pearl (2021). The family lives in Las Vegas. He has spoken openly about his struggles with alcohol and drug use and has faced multiple legal challenges and serious sexual assault allegations from several accusers. Carter denies the accusations and has pursued legal action in some cases. A 2024 docuseries, Fallen Idols, explored the allegations and his brother Aaron Carter’s life and death. Carter has focused on his health and family, often highlighting his sobriety, fitness, and his work with youth mental health charities.
