Neocogniauxia hexaptera is a species of orchid found only on Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti). The flowers are bright orange and about 2 inches (5 cm) wide. It grows in shady areas at elevations from 3,300 to 4,300 feet (1,000 to 1,300 meters).
