Navacerrada Pass
Navacerrada Pass is a mountain pass in the Guadarrama Mountains, in central Spain. It sits at about 1,858 meters above sea level and lies on the border between the Community of Madrid and the province of Segovia.
In 1788, it became the main route between Madrid and Segovia, replacing the Fuenfría Pass. The Madrid side uses the M-601 road, while the Segovia side uses the CL-601.
Around 2019, several Alpine-style buildings in the area were left derelict.
The climate is humid continental (Dsb), very close to a Mediterranean climate (Csb). Winters are cold and rainy, while summers are cool to warm and dry. Snow is common in winter.
