A Way Away is the fifth album by Finnish band Indica. It is their first English-language album and includes English versions of songs from earlier releases. The album came out on June 2, 2010, and blends pop rock with symphonic metal. It runs 54 minutes and 2 seconds and was released by Nuclear Blast. Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish produced the album. Jonsu wrote all the music, while the lyrics were by Jonsu and Rory Winston, except for “Precious Dark,” which was written by Holopainen.

Editions
- Standard CD: 10 tracks.
- Vinyl: two discs (limited to 1,000 copies) in beige and dark red colors; includes 11 tracks.
- Diary edition (digipak CD + DVD): 11 tracks, plus a diary book and a Rebella Pen.
- Suitcase edition: like the Diary edition plus five photo cards, a lanyard, and a Khol Kajal eyeliner pen; limited to 1,000 copies.
- Japanese version (Victor Entertainment): 12 tracks, including “Outside In” and “Nursery Crimes.”
- DVD: included with the Diary and Suitcase editions; contains three music videos and other clips such as live warm-ups, acoustic performances, outtakes, and the first version of “In Passing.”

Indica released four music videos for A Way Away. The DVD also includes additional video content.

Reception
- The album received mostly positive reviews, with praise for Jonsu’s vocals.
- Sonic Cathedral highlighted “Islands of Light” and “Precious Dark” and called the album diverse.
- The Digital Fix praised its shifting moods and emotional variety.
- Rocktopia said the album drew them in and they became a fan.
- Teeth of the Divine criticized the production, calling it polished and bland.
- Lords of Metal gave a mixed response, saying the songs pass by without a strong spark.
