Narharinath Rural Municipality
Narharinath Rural Municipality (Gaupalika) is in Kalikot District, Karnali Province, Nepal. It covers 143.86 square kilometers and has a population of 21,366 (2011 census). The municipality was formed by merging five former village development committees: Kumalgaun, Kotbada, Rupsa, Malkot, and Lalu. It was established on 10 March 2017 as part of Nepal’s move to new local government bodies and is divided into 9 wards. The headquarters is Kumalgaun. Narharinath is governed by a Rural Council. The chairperson is Nagend Bahadur Bista (NCCP) and the vice-chairperson is Kamal Bahaur Shah (NCP). The time zone is Nepal Time (UTC+5:45).
