Nanochromis
Nanochromis is a group of small freshwater cichlid fish found in the Congo River Basin in Central Africa. The genus was created by Pellegrin in 1904, and its type species is Pseudoplesiops nudiceps, described by Boulenger in 1899. In 2007, Congochromis was split off from Nanochromis. Today, several species remain in Nanochromis, and a couple of undescribed species are known.
