The Art of the Con, published in 2015 by Palgrave Macmillan, is a book by Anthony Amore about forgeries, thefts, scams, and fake art from the 18th century to today. It includes cases such as the Lawrence Salander scandal and the Knoedler Gallery fraud. Amore was the security director at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and worked with the FBI on the 1990 art heist; he had previously written Stealing Rembrandts, another book on art theft.
