NXT Women's Tag Team Championship
The NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship was WWE’s women’s tag title mainly defended on NXT. It existed from March 10, 2021, to June 23, 2023, when it was unified with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The first champions were Dakota Kai and Raquel González, and the final champions were Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. The title also appeared briefly on SmackDown before it was retired.
Why it was created:
After a controversial finish in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winner’s match, Kai and González were awarded the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, making the belt a separate title for NXT at the time.

Final chapter:
In 2023, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn were drafted to SmackDown with the titles. They defended on all brands, but a unification match against the undisputed WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, was set for June 23 on SmackDown. Baszler and Rousey won, unifying the titles and ending the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, with Dawn and Fyre recognized as the final champions.
