NHL 2K6 is a hockey video game by Kush Games, published by 2K, for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. In the US, Marty Turco appears on the cover; in Canada and Europe, Mats Sundin is on the cover. The game builds on ESPN NHL 2K5 with new features, including "crease control" that lets you control the goalie to make key saves. It uses the new NHL shootout system by default and is the first hockey sim released for Xbox 360. For Canadian broadcasts, Hockey Night in Canada’s Bob Cole and Harry Neale provide commentary, replacing the ESPN/ABC team of Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. The game received favorable reviews across platforms on Metacritic.
