Mythos is a Greek lager beer first brewed in 1997. The name means "myth." Since 2015 it has been produced by the Olympic Brewery, a subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group. The beer is light straw-colored with 5% alcohol and comes in 330 ml or 500 ml bottles or cans. Variants include Mythos Ice (filtered and chilled) and Mythos Radler (lemon). A non-alcoholic version, Mythos 0.0%, is also available. Mythos was created by the Northern Greece Brewery, which grew from Henninger Hellas, and in 2001 it became Mythos Brewery S.A. Scottish & Newcastle owned a majority stake in 2004, and Carlsberg later took over in 2008. In 2015 Mythos and Olympic Brewery merged under Olympic Brewery. Mythos is widely distributed in Greece and exported to the United States, Canada, Panama, Taiwan, Israel, and Australia. Besides Mythos, Olympic Brewery also distributes Henninger lager, Kaiser pilsner, and the Golden brand, and imports Carlsberg beer in Greece.
