Myrtoessa

Myrtoessa was an Arcadian nymph, one of the Crinaeae, who helped nurse Zeus with other nymphs: Neda, Anthracia, Hagno, and Anchirhoe. She is often shown carrying a water jar with water pouring from it. A non-marine mollusk, Myrtoessa hyas, a mud snail in the Hydrobiidae family, is named after her.
