Mikey Whiplash is the ring name of British professional wrestler Michael John Gilbert, born July 16, 1980, in Stoke-on-Trent, England. He is 6 ft 2 in tall and around 205 lb, and he lives in Glasgow, Scotland. He started wrestling in 2000 after training with Chris Curtis.

In 2009 he won the World Heavy Middleweight Championship by defeating Thomas La Ruffa. He has faced many notable wrestlers, including Drew Galloway, Grado, Andy Wild, Wolfgang, Jack Jester, Joe Hendry, Angélico, Jordan Devlin, Jimmy Havoc, Sabu, Stevie Boy, Joe Coffey and Zack Sabre Jr.
