2016 Asia Talent Cup
The 2016 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup was the third season of the series. It featured six rounds held across Asia, with three rounds supporting the MotoGP World Championship and two rounds supporting the Superbike World Championship. The season began on March 11 at Chang in Thailand and ended on October 28 at Sepang in Malaysia. Thai rider Somkiat Chantra won the title, beating his closest rival Ai Ogura, who would later become his teammate at Honda Team Asia. The calendar was announced in December 2015, and the entry list followed in November 2015. Points were awarded to the top fifteen finishers, and a rider had to finish the race to score points.
