Muthal Seethanam (The first dowry) is a 1992 Tamil romantic drama directed by Erode Soundar in his debut. It stars Shiva and Aamani and was produced by R. B. Choudary for Super Good Films. The film released on 14 August 1992. Soundaryan composed the music, K. Ram Singh handled cinematography, and K. Thanigachalam edited the film. Erode Soundar also wrote the script and played a supporting role. The Indian Express review criticised Shiva’s performance, saying he has miles to go before delivering a credible turn, and noted that Rajesh did not look comfortable in his villainous part.
