Mr. Young is a Canadian comedy that aired on YTV from March 1, 2011 to November 28, 2013. The show follows Adam Young, a child prodigy who finished university at 14 and returns to Finnegan High School as a science teacher to relive the high school experience. His plan is challenged by his students’ disbelief, clashes with the principal, and his feelings for a student named Echo. He teams up with his childhood friend Derby and deals with the school bully Slab. The story covers their high school years, from Grade 9 through graduation in 2014.

The main cast includes Brendan Meyer as Adam Young, Matreya Fedor as Echo, Gig Morton as Derby, Kurt Ostlund as Slab, with Milo Shandel and Emily Tennant in supporting roles. The series ran for three seasons and 80 episodes.

Filmed in Burnaby, British Columbia in front of a live studio audience at 5828 Byrne Road, the show was created by Dan Signer and produced by Thunderbird Films and Gravy Boat Productions. The opening theme is Who You Calling Kid by Hot Hot Heat, with music by Steve Bays, Paul Hawley, and Luke Paquin, and score by James Jandrisch. Internationally, Nelvana handled distribution with Thunderbird Films, including Disney XD in several regions.
