Morodo is a privately held telecommunications company in London, founded in 2006. Led by CEO and co-founder Andrew Reid, it has about 25 employees. It offers MO-Call, a low-cost and free communication service with desktop, mobile, and web apps that let you send texts, make international calls, and chat, saving up to 90% on phone bills compared with traditional providers. The MO-Call mobile app works on over 2,000 handsets across iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Java, and Windows Mobile and operates in more than 200 countries; the app supports direct calling, callback, VoIP, and SMS. The desktop MO-Call (built with QT) runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, supporting VoIP, SMS, and instant messaging. Calls can be connected via a local access number, callback, or an internet connection (Wi-Fi or 3G), and SMS is sent as data over the Morodo network. The service is compatible with most handsets (about 95%).
