Will Hill
Will Hill III (born March 7, 1990) is an American football safety who played for the Florida Gators in college and helped Florida win the 2009 BCS National Championship. He went undrafted in 2011 but began his pro career with the New York Giants in 2012. Hill grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, and attended St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City, where he was a standout athlete on both football and track teams. He played multiple positions in high school and was widely regarded as one of the top safety prospects in the country.
In the NFL, Hill tallied 221 total tackles, 1 sack, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 4 interceptions, and 3 total touchdowns. His notable moments include a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown against Drew Brees in 2014 and a late blocked-field-goal return for a game-winning touchdown in 2015. He also faced a 10-game suspension in 2016 after failing a drug test.
In the XFL, Hill earned mid-season honors in 2020 and was part of the Arlington Renegades when they won the league’s championship in 2023. He was drafted by the Renegades in 2022 and remained with them through the 2023 season. In January 2024, he was not on the Renegades’ roster after the UFL dispersal draft.
