Monymusk is a planned village in the Marr area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Its site was first linked to a Celtic foundation in 1078 by Malcolm Canmore. The Culdees of Munimusc are recorded there in 1170. Around 1200, Gilchrist, Earl of Mar, built Monymusk Priory, an Augustinian house. In 1712 the estate passed from the Forbes family to the Grant family, and Sir Archibald Grant created a planned village for estate workers. Today the Monymusk Parish Church stands on the old site, and the village was largely rebuilt in 1840.

In modern times Monymusk is known for fishing on the nearby River Don. It was once served by Monymusk railway station on the Alford Valley Railway (1859–1950), about half a mile south of the village. Notable people from Monymusk include geologist Dame Maria Matilda Ogilvie Gordon (born 1864), painters Archibald and Alexander Robertson, and child actor and historian Jon Whiteley (born 1945). A 1776 strathspey and an 1786 contra dance are named after the estate, and the dance is still widely performed today.
