Monika Niederstätter
Monika Niederstätter, born 2 March 1974 in Merano, Italy, is a retired Italian track athlete who specialized in the 400 metres hurdles and later the 400 metres. She competed for the G.S. Forestale club and won eight consecutive national titles. Internationally, she earned four medals, including at the Mediterranean Games (400 m hurdles) in 2001 and 2005, and at the European Cup (400 m hurdles) in 1999 and 2000. Her best major result was fourth place at the 2002 European Athletics Championships. Her personal bests are 55.10 seconds in the 400 m hurdles (set at the 1999 World Championships in Seville) and 52.98 seconds in the 400 metres (2004).
