Mike Dean (born December 26, 1955) is an American Republican politician from Mobile, Alabama. He served in the Alabama House of Representatives for the 104th district from 1996 to 2000, and was succeeded by Jim Barton. In 2000, he was elected to the Mobile County Commission and served until 2012, when he was defeated by Jerry Carl. Dean grew up in Mobile, attended B. C. Rain High School and played football as a linebacker. He played college football at William Carey College but left in 1979 to help his family’s hauling business after Hurricane Frederic. He started his own trucking company, Mobile Waste, which he sold to Browning-Ferris Industries after one year. He is married to Gina, his high school sweetheart.
