2022 Fordham Rams baseball team
The 2022 Fordham Rams baseball team represented Fordham University in the NCAA Division I season. It was Fordham’s 163rd season overall and 28th in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Rams finished 16-36 overall, with a 9-18 record in the A-10. Home games were played at Houlihan Park.
The team was led by head coach Kevin Leighton, in his 12th season, along with associate head coach Tony Mellaci (34th season), assistant coach Elliot Glynn (3rd season), hitting coach Eddie Cribby (1st season), and pitching coach Pat Porter (4th season).
In 2021, Fordham went 24-19 overall and 11-9 in the Atlantic 10 but did not qualify for the A-10 tournament.
Before the 2022 season, the Atlantic 10 coaches poll predicted Fordham would finish sixth in the conference, with the poll released on February 15, 2022. Several players signed National Letters of Intent to join Fordham in 2022. Preseason rankings from several outlets noted Fordham in various positions before and during the season.
