Miguel López-Cedrón
Miguel Ángel López-Cedrón Freije, known simply as Miguel, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a centre-forward. He was born on 3 June 1978 in Oviedo, Asturias, and he stood 1.95 meters tall.
Miguel spent most of his early career with Sporting de Gijón, mostly with their B team, and made his La Liga debut for Sporting on 26 April 1998, coming on as a substitute in a 4–0 defeat at UD Salamanca.
In the Segunda División, he played 213 matches and scored 40 goals across several teams: Sporting Gijón, Leganés (on loan), Eibar (on loan), and Numancia (the latter also giving him a taste of La Liga in 2004–05). He later played for Elche CF from 2006 to 2009.
His later years were spent with Oviedo (2009–2011), Avilés (2011–2013), Tuilla (2013–2014), and Llanes (2014–2015). Over his career, he made 536 appearances and scored 117 goals.
After retiring, Miguel joined UD Llanera as director of football, and on 26 June 2019 he was named president of the club.
